Alexandra
De Collibus teaches all the Itsy Bitsy Yoga® classes offered by
Sweet Pea Yoga. Alexandra De Collibus is a Certified IBY Facilitator
who received her training directly from Helen Garabedian, founder
of Itsy Bitsy Yoga.
Alexandra lived in NYC for many years as a professional stage
manager for theatre, dance, and opera on Broadway, Off-Broadway,
regional theatres and national tours. She loved the challenge
of helping child performers adapt to the high-pressure theatre
atmosphere while supporting the space for them to simply enjoy
"being a kid".
With a true renaissance spirit, she has also worked as an event
coordinator, Halloween attraction makeup artist, artisan bread
baker, and stained glass artist where she both crafted and restored
dozens of stained glass windows for churches across New England
and Italy. Alexandra's has also contributed to the the restoration
of several windows during the restoration of Trinity Church in
Boston.
Alexandra has found her work as an Itsy Bitsy Yoga Facilitator
to be incredibly fulfilling and she is thankful to have shared
yoga with hundreds of wonderful moms, dads, grammies, and nannies
through Sweet Pea Yoga. Alexandra attributes the growth and success
of Sweet Pea Yoga to the generosity and open-heartedness of these
wonderful families and the joy and humor they bring to class each
week. It continues to impress her how the Sweet Pea Yoga families
reach out to each other with kindness, frienship and support.
In addition to sharing Itsy Bitsy Yoga with families in Mass and
RI, Alexandra is also the Director at
Absolute
Yoga in Hopkinton, MA, a full-range Yoga and Pilates studio
which she is very proud to have a long association with. She continues
her work as a classroom assistant at the
Montessori
Children's House of Southborough. Alexandra has studied traditional
Hatha, Bikram, Ashtanga and Baptiste Power styles of Yoga.
